My first trip out the house for two weeks, due to injuring my back, and we decided to visit a National Trust place.
ย Hidcote is an Arts and Crafts garden in the north Cotswolds, not too far from Stratford-upon-Avon.
We haven’t visited before and we were pleasantly surprised by the beautifully laid out gardens. We wished that we had taken a picnic, when we go again we definitely will.
Along with the gorgeous Cotswolds stone buildings there was beautiful wisteria draping itself decadently over everything and the scent was just beautiful. Even my hubby was taken with the wisteria and said he wanted to get one to grow at home. Result!
The children enjoyed walking around the maze of paths, ย normally they’re the first to moan that they’re bored. There was lots to look at and to keep them occupied.
Although our youngest son wasn’t so impressed about being chased by an extra large hornet! However he was very happy that he found some ‘Minecraft’ square trees.
I was very happy with my camera, snapping away and I also managed to walk off my sciatica pain. Hurray.
So much colour and different variety of plants to see, really lovely.
ย We will definitely visit again later in the summer, it’ll be nice to see how the gardens differ from now.
Thanks again for reading.
Much love
